the new GTO was a terrible concept. Granted they arent a bad looking car, but for one, I read in Car and Driver that they were severly unimpressed with the power and way it drove, they said underpowered and drove like a grand prix. I think thats what they did to, they just took a Grand Prix, streched it out, and put different head and tail lights and a V8 engine... Whoop de friggan doo. The classic GTO is an american legend, and to take some futuristic car and call it the GTO is just barbaric. I bet if they had given it a different name and just called it a newer car all together and put a Supercharged v6 in it instead, it would be a more widely liked car. Change the engine because nothing says redneck like a big car, with a big engine. Im not trying to offend those of you who own/like the GTO, im just posting my two cents on the ordeal. Pontiac messed up with that car. I mean, Ford is going to release the Bronco again soon enough, and with their concept car they worked from the origional 70's bronco and came up with a new design based on that from the 70's one... That is what I wanted to see with the new GTO. I think Pontiac just wanted to do what everybody else was doing and take an old car that wasn't made anymore and bring it back, well they did it wrong.
