if you are willing to do the work yourself and then pay to have it charged then you should be able to upgrade to a completely new r134 system for about the same price. the only reason i mention this is that r12 is only going to become more expensive and rare as time goes on even though, in my opinion, it works better then r134. if you want to go with a bmw, go ahead but i would not get a 93 coupe to replace my svt sedan due to:
-growing family, in physical size
-age
