Just wonder if anyone has yet to try cat cams or any aftermarket cams on the 3L or any Duratec for that matter...

You should just be the first again and try them out!

Cat Cams in Europe didn't even have any dyno info on duratec V6's, so I didn't want to go through them and be the pioneer of sorts. Kinetics would be my choice. They build Leo Capaldi's engines for his race Cougar. They have a few profiles on hand or they can build to suit. They were having issues with their beefy NA 2.5L's stripping teeth off the gears in the transaxel

I think the 4.5 final drive may have helped with stripping the gears also.... and not to mention that motor never wanders below 4K rpm....

I personally sent them an e-mail asking for valve toss data - they had none. In fact, it is my understanding these cams have never been installed and run on a Duratec.
They also replied with something along the lines of "we are familiar with the Duratec here in Europe, but have not worked on one from the states". I did not inquire any further after that statement......
I can forward the e-mails, if you want to start the process over......

Robert Mumm ran that motor also. He deserves alot more credit there then Capaldi does. Mumm ran strengthened gears in 2nd,3rd,and 4th if I recall.

Actually, Mumm built Leo's car initially and then they parted ways. The Mumm's later returned to the project with their own car. Without Leo working with the Mumms, neither would be where they are ... they both deserve credit where credit is due.

At going price of 4 cat cams id have to sell a kidney plus a few other body parts to afford a set of those. What about you Dion, last time I checked you were still only making 210-220...

I found someone that will do regrinds and is fairly confident they will work without braking stuff. I'm not a big fan of regrinds, but a new set of cams are out of my reach.
I'm going to go with a mild street grind on a hybrid that I'm currently working on. My question is, would anyone else be interested in some regrinds if these work ok. Furthermore if they workout good, I'm going to go with a wild set on the Escape motor that I'm also working on.
My goal on the Escape motor is to make a lot more power than the first one. The hybrid will be my test bed for the regrinds.
