John Deere JX75
electric start walk-behind ... yum
We also have a Black and Decker battery-powered electric similar to the one below, but green (older model). The battery died two years after we got it, otherwise it was an excellent mower...

That thing is nothing compared to this mower that I work with:

my aunt bought it for her house, and i use it and get paid
kicks ass tho! 18.5 HP Briggs and Stratton OHV V Twin motor forgot 52.5 Deck!
And its a Bobcat Goes pretty fast, unsure of speed... All i know is that thing can tow the contour!
But at home i use a beatup Sears lawntractor, but that thing rarily works so im stuck with a 6.75 HP Craftsman mower

I bet that thing cuts like nobody's business. Reel mowers give the nicest cut - just look at what golf courses use! Personally, I have a POS John Deere taking up space in the garage at the moment, while I wait for the builder to do the finish grade and get the contractor in too hydroseed. I won't be mowing until August Scott

Gas is $2.19 a gallon, and i have a 50 x 100 piece of property. This baby does the job just fine.

Sadly, with the mulching kit it was over $6k in 2002. I think prices have dropped somewhat but Toro prices tend to be rather static. It's a lot of cabbage for a mower but I cut 5 acres a week, and it being commercial quality means we shouldn't need another one for at least 15 years. What took 7 hours on a Snapper takes 1hr45min on the zero turn.

The pros that use those w/sulky's can rip through lawns in no time! Commercial use around here is about a 50/50 split between them and the zero turns like mine, but the serious guys who really knock out the lawns use mowers like yours.
