Not if you're using a quality rotor like Autospecialty. Also bedding them in correctly. Helps not to stand on them from 100 to 0 either.

I've had my pads & rotors on for over 2 years.

The rotors did get a bit glazed after a year and a half but were not warped at all. That included 2 autocrosses and my normal daily hard driving.

When I had the car apart last fall I scuffed them up & cleaned them and they have been good so far. I can see they are glazing over again though.

Yes I am VERY hard on my brakes as I love to actually "drive" my car like it should be every time I get in it. Hundreds if not thousands of high speed stops too. (All that testing takes it toll)

I have noticed a hair of light "singing" when they are hot but only the last few seconds when coming to a complete stop. They never make a peep in normal or lightly spirited driving.

I think this is the best setup for the street or light track use.

If I had the "free" money I would get larger front brakes like what TCE sells. They would be my only upgrade choice over the much heavier BAER brake kits.

However this setup has certainly shown the limits of what the stock SVT setup can do. Very good performance for such a low price.

The Titaniums will be a better performing pad.

Standard ceramic pads are designed to reduce noise but the trade off is a softer pad material, more brake dust, and much less tolerance for cold & wet weather.

This is an intresting article for people wondering about warped rotors.

I have been happy with the bendix titanium on both vehicles I have put them on.

Where can I buy the Bendix Titaniums? I have searched the web and cannot find anyone selling them for the Contour LX (front disc/rear drum).
