Why the change of heart from 0w-30?
I always felt the thicker oil was better protection against spun bearings and was worth the trade-off of any frictional losses.




A 20 weight IS too thick at start up.

Even a 10 weight has lower start up flow ability.


I never ran 0W30. I ran 5W30 Mobil 1.

Mobil 1 does not make a 5W40.
