Sorry, I couldn't resist this one with the present situation. What did the bird say when it flew over the CEG..."CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP!"

I would think the demographics of the BEG would be drastically different than the CEG. I think a more valid comparison would be that Tempo/Topaz group that invaded the CEG for a while. Do they have these problems? In all likelihood, yes.

Truly sad - and it makes it seem like this will be the last ever SZ'04 because of the lack of enthusiasm I am seeing.

$80 in today's times is nothing. Seriously! I don't want to hear excuses. Lets look back 2 months ago - now if you can HONESTLY look me in the eye and say you couldn't afford to stash $10 A WEEK, then I call shenigans on you. Because that's total BS. That's frikken less than two meals at McDonalds! Unless your 12 and get $2 a day for washing dishes for you momma, then I would think that $10 a week would be attainable. But we all know that we have been planning on SZ04 for longer than 2 months, so if we go back 4, yes 4 months, then you would have to save $5 a week. OMG, that's unheard of!

Like Todd said - WHATEVER!

To the die-hards, I applaud you guys for coming out, and to Ben, dude, just come out and you can chill as Casa Stazi - ride your BMX if you have too the 100 mile trek will be great for your stamina training.

I'm not going to say - don't show up to SZ if you're a toght ass, but don't expect to be mooching either!

I was looking forward to coming to SZ, but now I'm not sure.
All I hear is a bunch of people whinning about money. This is about a group of people who like the same car not about making some eliteist group. If some people can't save $80 than they can't. Not everyone make $50,000 a year. If you don't pay you don't do the activities, EASY. I'm coming to the SZ, and I didn't pay, so in turn I'm not going carting, draging etc.. if anyone has anything to say about it my name is Charlie and I drive a T-red tour!

I'm not trying to start a fight or anything, I want to come to the spring zing to meet all of you on this site, talk about cars.

Wow!! I've been reading this thread and it been pretty interesting. True, $5 a week for the last 4 months should be pretty easy, but in that last 4 months I've gotten one paycheck and a tax return and am barely getting out of the debts I have built up. I also would like to come and be a spectator because I really don't need to put my car on a strip or dyno. Dinner and go-karting sounds fun and all, but if I decided to pony up the money it would only be last minute when my next check comes. Maybe I'll be there.

The corilation between $50K a year and saving $80.00 is silly when you consider the fact this was put together over 6 monthes ago, thats what we don't understand These are probably the same people that go out on the weekend and get hammered drinking too, so you could've easily saved that $80.00 by cutting back on a couple things if need be. Just remember this, you still have time to register for the last SZ, well the last one that will be here in Michigan, so try and register. Theres talk about another one, but it will be out of state and I'm sure thats waaaaay to much for the majority of the locals, thats for sure Were not an elitist group, just when it comes down to doing something that everyone wants and it gets put together, noone supports it, just like the aftermarket for our car I hope noone thinks I'm flaming everyone, its just its getting me a bit stressed out with everything thats going on with SZ04' and my own cars situation!
