80.00 is about 100.00 more than I would pay to hang out with you [censored].

Fine. The point all of us running the event are trying to make is that this is a special event. Not just some "parling lot" hang out as you tend to think it is. Have you been to one? If not then you don't have room to talk. This is a 3 day event with draging, full banquet with SVT as a special guest, Team SVT vehicles that very rarely leave the grounds, Kart2Kart, River Rouge Tours, Show and Shine, etc. I attempted to get an Auto X together but Detroit SCCA refused to work with us. We have owners traveling many many miles to meet and have a good time. If oyu can't afford to pony up a few dollars than don't come. I would hope we could easily get 80 cars as in years past but for some reason the enthusiasm is dead much like your MX.

In all seriousness, if the special events are deemed worthy of 80.00, people will pay it. Those who want to just hang out should feel free to do so.

Well, it doesn't cost the others anything to socialize. They are paying for the dinner, kart2kart, etc. The people who are just coming to talk, won't be participating in the "pay to play" events.
