it seems as if this is an all or nothing event....so it looks like i won't be attending. i don't wanna hurt anyone's feelings by showing up to see everyone since i have not paid anything. oh and another thing, my car won't be done with the interior and paint until the 2nd week of june anyways. so hopefully all goes well, and i am sure i will see lots of pics. until then i have lots of work to do on the car..... same here. i just graduated and am broke as hell this summer, so i guess i will miss it. don't want any dirty looks.

Anyone want to fill me in on why paying is an issue this year? SZ has been going on since 99 and we have never heard so many small remarks and eye rolling. Yea a hole $80. Like a day or 2 working at McD's. Plus everyone has known about this for many many months. You can't put away and extra $10 a month?  The food at the banquet on Sat. is worth about $30 alone. I'll bet the last date you went on was double that.

i'm on a fixed budget and have absolutely no spare money, and student loan repayments are coming to boot. i want to hang out and meet with some cool contour people, but i have no desire to race go carts and eat at a hotel. so a "whole" $80 is a lot to me just to meet some people. call me crazy. and if you guys won't hang out with us b/c we didn't pay, then i'm glad i didn't waste my time.
whats hard about that to understand? i can't speak for previous years, as i'm fairly new here, but this air of "you can't hang out at a show and shine with us because you didn't buck up and pay for food and go-carts" really makes me feel unwelcome.
perhaps that is why this may be the last SZ ever....

SZ 2002 was "ala carte" and worked out fine. And the falming attitude like Todra displays drives people away. Is this a HS cliche, like "The Mean Girls"??

Everybody knows you Ben, just show up and hang out. I mean your the one Ohio guy that shows up to all/most of our meets and have been for years. Everyone else, well, it wouldn't hurt to show up and checkout the cars because this could very well be the last SZ, but not the end of meets, not by a long shot
