I wasn't aware that Mystiques have different hoods. Well if they do we won't be making a Mystique specific one. I don't see the the market being there. Dion thanks for the kind words. When are you going to get one for yourself . So far these hoods will be available for a while. I haven't made a date yet when I will close this, but it won't be soon.
i sad now

As far as the scoop? That can be cut out if you like. Underneath, will be opposite of whats on top, about a 2" rise. Hope that answers your questions

HUH?! in the picture it looks as if there is another layer under the cowl. i was under the impression that we could have it cut out to feed air out and complete the functionality of the hood. ive already gotten my shipping quote, im just making sure wether or not i need to take the grinder to this beauty when i get it and like everybody, pics on a car would be the deciding factor thanks

If you look at the very first picture posted on this OEM version GB, you'll see that the bottom layer that you'r talking about is just the back part of the under frame. The under frame is the same on both versions, but b/c of the cowl, the top layer is higher on the induction version which makes it look like there's another layer under there. If you guys choose to cut the induction scoop open, you'll have hot air coming out thru both the scoop and the back of the hood. But you actually don't need to cut it open b/c you'll get plenty of ventilation from the slit in the back.

Most companies charge about the same for shipping of there hoods. Besides this group buy has only been going on for about a week unofficaly , you must be confused with the other group buy.
The other GB that's been going on for about a year and a half is by NorCalCoug. I wasn't confused, I was just hoping to save alittle green. You have those guys blown away. They still don't have their hoods and you're just about ready to go on your second design.
PS> I just had to go a take another look.

Wont that just hold water if it rains? And is it possible to make a cowled hood with out that scoop. Awesome work though!
And opening it up for air flow would just let water in when it rains???
Don't mean to post again, but if it's opened up, will it let water in if it rains?

Well since it hasn't officialy been tested, I can't say as to how much, but I have to beleive if water gets in there it will find its way into the bay, so just do 80mph every were and never stop and you will never have anything to worry about...LOL

Its not so much the carbon as the clear coat will protect it, just like clear coat protects automotive paint.
