Hey I was curious if anyone had heard about the new racetracks proposed in Central Illinois near Peoria? I wast at a SVTOA meeting last week and it was presented to to us. From the plans it looks like it will be very cool. It is going to have a 1/4 mile IHRA drag strip, a 3+ mile road track and a 4/10's mile concrete oval. The guys who have got it started have big backers and are pretty far into the process so it looks like this might be a reality. in the next year or so. The biggest obstacle is going to be the Peoria County Board who has to approve it. If anyone is interested in writing them I have their addresses and any support no matter where you are from wouold be appreciated.
