Tried searching for a while & no luck so here goes:

The clutch release point on my 'tour is right near the end of when you depress the pedal. I personally like it near to the floor (thats where I have them adjusted to on the mustangs). The car has 76K miles and from doing some reading here clutches seem to last a bit longer than that in these cars.

My questions to ya'll are: is this normal and is it adjustable... ...or will I be having to do a clutch job soon?

The first part of your question is yes, the second I'm not sure. The engage/disengage is towards the top on my SVT and the non-SVT 5-speed I test drove. I've also had it confirmed by a local Cougar guy.

Engagement point on my clutch is waayyy down by the floor, perhaps 1" off the floor. It bugs me some but I've bled until I'm bleeding and the engagement point hasn't changed. Of course, sometimes it's a bit higher than others, makes it really easy to drive smoothly LOL. But hey, with 143k miles on the original clutch I'm just happy it still holds at all.

The clutch engagement on my car is the same, all the way at the top. It seems to make 1st and 2nd gear shifts harder to complete smoothly!!

Mine is high, and that's the way I like it! Less stress on my foot.

mine's at the top too, makes quick shifts seamlessly fast. . .I hated the mustang clutch engagement points, especially on the Cobra. . .ugh, heavy clutch and engages 1inch off of the floor. . .buff quads in NO TIME. . .
