Aftermarket OEM alternators require an extra lead wire to be spliced into the wiring harness and redirected to the charge terminal on the alternator.

I bought my replacement alternator from Autozone for my 2000 SVT and it was a direct connection, no splicing.

Sorry, didn't mean that. Looks like getting a mature comment is way out of the question. So since I can't edit my thread now, I am quite pleased to leave it where it stands. KYAOL . Anyway, cheers to you who actually appreciated my effort to show an easy alternator fix that Found On Road Dead could have made alot easier or maybe even included in the factory installation.
