I have had same problem. It makes me regret buying this stupid clutch and flywheel!! I've got about 7-800 miles on the clutch now, and its still shuddering.. but its gotton better, particularly from a start. Spec says its normal, I say BS, I didn't pay extra for this crap.

ive got less than 200 miles on it now and the pedal feel and shuddering are improving, but the chatter is still present and extremely annoying. thats gotta go.

The SPEC Stage III is really an ON/OFF switch. The shuddering is due to the lack of its ability to slip/feather into gear. You did in fact pay extra for this. You bought a "Race" clutch, not OEM. I hate the clutch chatter, myself. When not in gear and the clutch is out, it chatters very loudly. It squeeks when engaging and makes racket all over. When you side-step that puppy at the line or when baning thru the gears, that is when you appreciate the SPEC. I suggest to get another OEM unless you are boosted or run at the track often. Otherwise your daily driver will drive you nuts.

i think we're all talking about a stage 1 here, and a sprumg hub and lack of chatter i thought was one of the features/conveniences of this package, its a street oriented clutch kit.

Chatter will not go away. Just get used to it. The shuddering has gone away for me, but yes, it did take a while. Don't sweat it.

I wish I had a better before/after feeling. I was without my car for 7 weeks, and damn near forgot how my car felt before.

But, it does grab well. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Yeah I have a stage 1, not a stage III. On the plus side though.. I'm above 1k miles now and have been testing it out, and it does grab like a SOB.

the stories of the fidanza aluminum slowing down the zetecs may be coming to fruition in my own car. after installing and breaking it in for 600 mi or so i got on it some and it hesitated bad between 3500 and 5000 rpm and then picked back up again till red line. after some discourse with the mech. over surfacing and some other things, than pulled a code for free off a CEL i got . said it was bank 1 O2 sensor. i assumed that meant the one before the cat. replaced that and no change with the mid rpm problem. then grabbed some crc and sprayed down the IAC and MAF sensor. damn was that thing filthy. it seems like i just cleaned it not too long ago. the filter that came with my CTA seems to let in a ton of dirt. anywho...

she runs clean to redline now and accelerates well, but that flywheel just seems to take ALL the hit away from the tires when i shift. i still think it might be slipping some.

spoke to a rep at SPEC and he said that sometimes he sees the step on the fidanzas not quite within specif. possibly causing some slip. im gonna have my mech. bleed the slave cyl. again in a couple hundred mi. to see if i can eliminate some possible causes and try to properly diagnose the problem here.

guess some of the guys on here may have been right warning me against the aluminum wheel (sleeperZ, etc.), but we will see.

wish me luck, this is getting expensive, hense frustrating!
