the engineer I talked with does have his master's in something to do with intake airflow design or something similarly funky and appropriate to this discussion.
It's all about the resonance in the intake.

It's all about balance.

Well, Chris, what's the status of the nylon blocks? Done whittling yet? lol

The hand carving with the Dremel wasn't working too well so I am getting a drill press kit for the Dremel. It's like $40 and it will be put to good use in the future. I am starting to be as busy as Lance these days. I said "almost" smile

I've also been busy with an express open kit for the moonroof.

Also, I was thinking that if you removed the upper intake, you could have those ends (where the caps are now) "tapped" or threaded, and this would allow you to get a good seal by screwing the crossover pipe into the plenum. Think of how EGR tubes are attached to the exhaust manifold, or how power steering lines are attached, and you will know what I am suggesting.

Well, the nylon block carving for the elbows are going well since I got the drill press kit for the Dremel. I'm also starting to think a U-shaped section might need to be cut away from the edge to allow for closer placement of the pipe. Instead of the crushed pipe I was previously planning. I am going ahead with the crushed tip pipe for now, until I can cut the end off a little bit.

What about pics?

I was looking at the freeze plugs in the end of the plenum, and they look a little small. Are they bigger on the SVT?
