We just got a horrible intermitant loud vibration noise from the front of the car. A mechanic checked brakes suspension etc ect and all is in good order. I have noticed the noise doent occur when the A/C is off.

Does this lead anyone to hazard a guess?

Appreciate the pointers,

Dave

AC compressor would be my guess-the compressor has a clutch that locks up when the ac is-other than that-its just spins freely as an extra pulley. I would thor the AC and make sure teh clutch is engaged (center is turning) and visually inpect the compressor. Internal bearings and the clutch engagement could be grabbing if its worn. Also check other components on your serpentine belt.
