Just changed to Synthetic Mobil 1 Oil my car is actually going faster now and picks up better plus its quieter.

BTW b4 installing my CTA Zetec Intake should i clean the throttle body? And they were charging me $20 to install the intake should i pay or just do it myself?

Is there any way i can clean the throttle body by myself?

Thanks,
Robert

yes, no, yes, yes.

clean the TB
do it yourself.

take off the pleumb (big black box on top of the TB). if its really bad and gunky, leave the motor off first. have someone hold the Gas pedal to the floor and spray cleaner on a shop rag. the wipe inside the TB. get all the gunk out. then:

then start the motor and rev it. each time it revs, the butterfly valve will open (turn vertical). spray carb/TB cleaner in it while car is running. let idle for a few minutes (car may idle rough, this is the engine burning carb cleaner...its normal). then repeat until clean. be careful not to run the engine longer than a few minutes at a time and do it in an area thats free of dust, asd you will have bypassed the air filter when you take off the blac housing.

What spray cleaner is best to use?

i use STP carb and choke cleaner...worx pretty good, but any Carb/choke cleaner out there will do the job...a good size can can be had for 2.99-4.99 at autozone or wal-mart.
