It's maddness.

Its a west side thing... I pay more on the corner of 38th and high school than I do in carmel, which is rare!

$2.11 for premium this morning (though i didn't fill up)

If gas prices were 25% lower, say $1.50gallon vs $2.00, how much per month does that really impact most people? If you drive the national average of 1300 miles per week and get 25mpg (typical Contour), that is 52 gallons at $78 per month vs. $104. As a percentage of most people's income, $26/mo realy isn't that much.

For the most of this past winter, I was driving my wife's F-150 as my dailiy driver. I averaged 500 miles per week at about 11.5mpg. Between my wife and myself, our fuel usage was about $425/mo. If the gas price drops by 25$, I save $100/mo, but that is a rather small portion of our income. I save a lot more refinancing my home mortgage than $100.

This is where we say "but but but it's too much"

Then we get the . At some $2 per gallon, it is (for most of us) not what we spend most of our money on. We'd just as quickly forget the $50/month we spend at McDonald's.

87 = $1.94
89 = $2.03
93 = $2.10

Cost me $26 for just over 13 gallons of gas today, got sick of the gas line being on E.

everybody is complaining about it, but you know, gas prices always rise, its a known fact, so just deal with it. My Tour costed 20$ to fill at 1.60 a gallon, and it costs about 23$ to fill at 1.97$ a gallon... So I guess 3 dollars isnt enough to complain about, unless you really wanted that pop and candy bar.

Considering I'd have to work another five hours a week to recoup that $26, it's a lot to me. Maybe I won't care when I'm out of college and have a real job, but right now it matters. I will be pulling my chip once I'm done with this tank of gas and I think I'm even gonna put the 14" steelies back on. Every bit helps.
