Hey everyone... i'm looking for a sub with a high Qts, for IB use. The Lambda SB was perfect, as it has a Qts of over .5, but apparently Lambda's website isn't even working, and i'm not sure if i can even find any of these subs around.

The thing is, i'm looking for a 10" sub for as cheap as possible, with the Lambda type SQ. I've looked at the brahma, and that maybe a bit much for my taste... although it would be great. Anything with shorting rings, or Faraday would be lovely.

Anyone got any suggestions? Remember.. i need an awsome SQ sub that'll work IB. I really do want a Lambda though... the PB has too low of a Qts for me.

It has to be a 10" sub? PE has still got their Dayton IB12's on sale for $85/each. What's your project Ren?

Not a real high qts, but the SX10 at www.creativesound.ca would probably work quite well.

I think it is possible to do an inverse linkwitz transform to raise the effective Q. I'll see if i can find the schematic...

Another question.. i'm debating between peerless , or Tangband

I wouldn't mind the TB as it seems to fit well for kickpanels.. but the Peerless has shorting rings

I wouldn't mind either one.. but i'm curious, as of which one would be better to match up with the Audax tweeters for now.. and the Hiquphons for later. I would go with Adire, but apparently the [censored] aren't out yet.

It's going to be in the rear deck of my future car.. the Saturn ION. I'm going to take a long break from working with super custom setups, due to financial shortages. I even want to cut back from making enclosures. Anyways, what i've got planned is an ultimate SQ vehicle, for the least amount of money. I'd prefer the 10" as i want to keep things reasonable... Though i would, if i could, use a pair of Stryke AV's, if i had the time, and $$. Least amount of work, for the most amount of sound.

Basically, instead of $$ per watt.. it's time per how damn good it sounds.

Anyways, I would go with the Dayton IB's.... except for the fact that i just have this need for the faraday. Anyways... that's all.

Apparently there have been some issues with the TB. I would stick with the Peerless at this point.

Now i'm stuck debating between the SX10 or the TC Sounds ultimate 10

the ultimate has a higher Qts, and Shorting rings. Also an xmax of 25mm one way. It's about the same price as well. The Fs is a bit higher though at 38hz. Not sure how that would affect the sound.
