Hi guys, I have finally got my 95 2.0 Contour to run but it's really bogging down. I pulled the codes and it came back with "fuel pump relay". Where is that located? I've replaced the fuel pump, strainer, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and injectors. I also got codes for the oxygen sensor for "too rich" AND "too lean". Any ideas?

What is the exact code? If it's a 542 or 543, ignore them.

If you believe you have a fuel delivery problem, measure the fuel pressure. That is the only way you will ever find out besides guessing.

Replace the O2 sensor.

The code is 556 - fuel pump circuit - check fuel pump relay. The other codes were 177,172 both oxygen sensor which I replaced about 1000 miles ago. and code 225 which I don't find in my book. Maybe I have a gremlin in there chewin' on the wires.

The 95's (through 97) came factory-equipped with a gremlin for doing just that.

Were the codes Continuous, KOEO, or KOER?

A 225 code is that the Knock Sensor did not detect anything during the dynamic response test of the KOER test. Usually caused by not hitting the throttle hard enough when goosing the engine.
