Antonio, I understand exactly what you're saying. I think the problems you had with your car only add to your conviction.
However, I do know that there are plenty of people who come to this site because they were interested in purchasing one of these vehicles.
I can tell you right now that if I came on here asking about an SVT and its pricing, the opinions of all would matter. If I was told that, yes, these cars are absolutely worth 10k-12k, that would be very believable. If on the other hand everyone jumped on the bandwagon saying, hey, you'd have to stupid to pay that much, my money would definitely go elsewhere.
The statements made by those here do carry alot of weight. Whether it be mods, maintenance or used prices.
I purchased my SVT before I even heard of this site. Judging from the posts I've read over the past few years, if I had found this site first, I never would have bought this car. Who knows. Maybe I would have ended up with something better. But I truly would have missed out on a great car.
I'm sure we have no power over the press. But I can guarantee that what we say on this site carries alot more weight than probably anyone of us realize.
