Ok I know Ive seen this on here before but I couldnt find it. I searched for overspay and dusted with paint. Nothing.

When I got to work to day it was pouring down rain so I parked near the front doors. One of the doors is a garage door. They had me painting all day and all the doors were open. So guess what, my car now has been dusted with white overspray. It really wouldn't be a big deal if my car was white but its black. There's nobody really to blame execept myself. I parked there and I was doing the painting. The paint I was using was oil based enamel. Any ideas on how to take it off with out screwing up the paint job?

Try the famous Clay Bar. It took overspray off my g-pa's car. He couldn't believe it. He had some clear coat fall on it... after he decided to spray paint in his garage. But ya, try that. If it doesn't work, you can buff it off using machine glaze and a high speed buffer. Most places will do it for about $100 if you want to do it that way. But try the clay bar first... it's good for the car anyways!!!

If claying does not work, I would use graffiti remover. It is available at most auto parts stores. It is a chemically treated cloths (like baby wipes) that will wipe overspray and spray paint right off without ruining the original paint. It sells for about $8 for a roll of it.

I can vouge that clay bar will take off overspray. I had stain overspray on my car from a fence(stain is harder to get off than paint keep in mind) and I clay barred my car and it took it right off. So stick with the clay bar.
