Has anybody figured out how to make the Contour NOT squeak and rattle over every bump and turn? My car sounds like it was assembled by a bunch of 8 year olds it rattles and squeaks so much and its only 47k miles old! I dont know where all of it comes from but I know the sunroof and the rear doors are big culprits. The rest I'm not entirely sure of, I think some of it might be in the dash. Lastly, It's a minor complaint, but is there anyway to keep the leather seats from sqeaking, that's really getting at me too. I never used to notice a lot of these sounds when I first bought the car (previous car was a jeep wrangler convertible no wonder), but now that I've had rides in a few VWs, Audis, BMWs and even late model Hondas the small sqeaks and rattles are driving me crazy! In case some of you were wondering the car was never in an accident and there is no frame damage. I really want to keep this car, I love the drivetrain, the handling, the appearance, etc, but I figure I can get the same performance in a better built RWD package from a company like BMW for the same price. I was wondering if cross frame braces, strut tower braces, etc might help alleviate the problem. Thanks in advance, any help I get would be greatly appreciated.
