i've had the kappa 5x7 running off jensen hu (never got a chance to amp them or give them better hu power. sold them. i'm doing the front stage to amp but currently i have the reference 5x7 in the rear for rear fill powered by my kenwood hu 22 watts rms. and just the rears running it sounds really good. much much better than stock. amping them would only improve them but for $40 new from ikesound for occasional rear fill they are great. i'd go with the kappas to amp and if u dont want to make adapter plates the 5x7s will be fine.
