So basically everyone who disagrees with what I said thinks its okay for us to be terrorists and kill over 100k people, but it isnt okay for people to come here and carry out a terrorists attack.
The problem with some people here is they dont care if innocent people die in Iraq, but if they die here they do care.
Since you are a young man, I will cut you some slack but lets look at this another way. Assuming you 100,000 number is correct and not some Al Jazeran or CBC "factoid"..
We know that Sadam killed 2,000,000+ himself.
We know that we were imposing severe economic sanctions because Sadam would not comply with UN resolutions (imposed because he had invaded a country)
We now know (but not before the war) that the food that was supposed to be going to Iraq was garbage and the (including OUR) money was being funneled in French and other bank accounts as well as Sadams own terrorist fund.
So, continued action along the course we had followed the last 12 years would have been expected to result in an extra 1,900,000 dead Iraqis, murdered by Sadam and his evil offspring (thats 2,000,000 minus the 100,000 we supposedly killed), continued economic depression, and another 10 billion taxpayer dollars being funneled through Sadam into terrorist hands...
So, do you CARE about that?
Are you somehow more compassionate, than the soldiers over there building schools and hospitals and powerplants?
You know, sometimes INACTION is more painful than action that is painful...kind of like cutting out a tumor..
