Yes it is. What you're suggesting is totally unfounded, illogical, and frankly, insane.

As far as WMDs are concerned, you missed a few nice threads about the Washington Post article from April 14th or 15th. Basically, the IAEA put together a letter/report to the U.N. that documents scrap stainless steel and rocket engines being sold to scrap yards in Europe. European and U.N. officials reporting that some of it was radio active and had amounts of 'yellowcake', which is a byproduct of a uranium enrichment process. The International Atomic Energy Agency, a U.N. watchdog agency, traced the materials back to Jordan, who got them from Syria, who got them from Iraq.
On to Binny baby, he will get his. My nephew is in Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Div. hunting the worm down as we speak. I noted in a previous post about the difficulties & limitations that the troops there are dealing with. It's just the reality of the border & terrain situations, and I get my information from somebody who is there. Where, exactly, are you getting your info?
I'm sorry, but your view is very distorted by obvious bias in your sources. Don't just eat everything that is spoon fed you by the CBC. Do your own thinking & question what you're hearing. There's more than one side to every argument, so what do you suppose the CBC and Canadian Government that controls it are leaving out of their telecasts? What alternat point of view are they presenting that will allow you to temper your perceptions with facts? Pretty much none it seems.
French, Russian, and possibly German officials were heavily involved in billions of dollars worth of fraud in the Oil for Food program, and possibly giving Iraq technological help with their weapons programs. They were among the most fervent opponents of the moves to enforce the U.N. resolutions and their news agencies were very much echoing all the drum beating. Sad, really, that the same thing is happening in Canada.
I wonder what the Canadian Government is so afraid of? Stay tuned, we may find out in the coming months. I think I'll save a link to this thread for when that news hits the front page.
Of course, many Canadians will be lead to believe that it's all just revenge journalism & villainous propaganda being thrown about by that big, mean, bully the United States.
Things will get interesting across the border - Stay tuned mon ami...
