They are not directly related. One can change either, or both.
When changing a WP, the timing belt is a freebie cause one has to take it off anyway. About $300 labor is the going rate for a WP.
I would only change the WP if you have a 2.5L V6. If you have the 2.0L, I'd only do the timing belt unless the WP is leaking.
