My timing belt is missng a few teeth and needs to be changed. The mech. said I need to change the waterpump (or waterpump part) at the same time as they are linked? ($89.00 for waterpump, $59.00 for timing belt)
I have searched this site and can find to connection btwn timing belt and waterpump.
can someone confirm this?
Also he said it would take 4-5 hours to to change the belt and waterpump (@$76.00/hr) can someone confirm this as well?
Woried that I might be getting screwed...... and I don't have much of an option at this point
Background - CEL, P1383 code returned. They said they checked the VCT solenoid and it was fine.
