Does anyone know where i can get a new silver strip for a 95 bump, even one of the post 95 - 97 painted strip bumpers. I had to remove mine because it was horribly stained. I hope you guys know what im talking about if not i bet i can find a pictur.

Yes, i know what you're talking about. I was just going to post something about this. Mine is also "stained" after Ford tryed to fix a dent in the bumper. Although I don't know where to get one. I will be interested in hearing a response to this as I am planning on replacing mine. Not trying to hijack the post or anything, but can you somehow get it buffed out?

IIRC, I the strip can be removed to leave a light gray stripe instead of the chrome. I believe Josch did this on his car. Look for him and shoot him a PM.

I too would be interested. My front is fine from a repair, but my rear is spotted like hell. I like the chrome too!! So I want to keep it. But where to get new?

Ford no longer produces the Chrome stripe. Nobody that has been found online or local to any CEGer has found anyone who sells a new one. All I can say is take good care of it, or have me ship you one from the Junk yard.

Well when they repaired my front bumper, the bodyshop did something. They put a new strip on, but how they got it so smooth I don't know. I wish I would have told them to do the rear strip as well!

I am going to check my local junkyard tomorrow. I think they have 3 tours or something. Also, how hard is it to remove the strip?

It is super easy to remove it the trick is keeping it in good shape. The remove is pretty much the same as the ding gaurds. The difference is when you begin to peal the strip off it begins to wrikle where it curves so you have to keep doing it slowly and not just pull it off at once.
I hope that makes sense
EDIT: if you find one in good shape let me know i might be interested in buying one

If I find a second one, I'll shot ya a holla. I am planning on buying one also, Hopefully they are in good shape. How much do you think a junk yard would charge?
