I tried to change the rear O2 sensor today because I get a 172 code & CEL goes on & off. As others have mentioned, I removed the ignition call block and was able to get the special socket over the sensor. However, there was no way I could get a wrench or breaker bar on it to turn it! The air conditioner pipes are in the way! I could see on a car without air that this could work. Anybody have any experience with this setup on a 95 V6? I could get the wrench on it, but there was no room to move the wrench or the breaker bar, which I also tried. Does Ford have some special adapter for this besides just the O2 socket?
