That's an old wive's tale. Color of your car has no bearing on your insurance cost. Why would it?

Don't feel bad, according to a recent survey, one-third of adults thought that color had a bearing on insurance rates when it, in fact, does not.

If it did, red would be better, as it's been proven time and time again that Red and White are the 2 safest colored cars to drive.

I stand corrected. I never saw the details of red and white being the two safest color cars to drive though. I heard dark liquid grey was the favored color among enthusiasts. Read it in a magazine. Hmm...the old Contour was white. I must be a safe driver.
