A Corolla with 19" wheels would be a slug.
I rented a 2001 Corolla for 1 week, foot to the floor driving style to keep up with freeway traffic! And noisy. And horrible handling. But great mileage.
You would be doing better in a Focus.

Can't get a ZX5 with a 2.3L though. Only the ST sedan (or currently the ZTS) come with 2.3L engines. For some odd reason, Ford feels that the lightest sportiest bodystyle (ZX3) shouldn't get the more powerful engine

I love the 2 door Accords. If I had been buying a used car when I got the ZX5 it would have been very high on my list. You can get them with a V6, which makes some decent power and even sounds nice. Solid car, reliable, and looks really good to boot.

V6 would be nice, but I think insurance would kick me in the ass, as I have not had one of the best driving records.. Too many tickets. I was looking at the 4 door accord as well, (not the new ones) and in my eyes, they would only look right with chrome rims. I don't think I've seen one that looks nice with alloy..

All I have seen are ones with chrome wheels and they're ugly... or maybe I just think they're all ugly, but I don't think it's that either. Maybe gunmetal.

If you have had a lot of tickets why would you be concerned about which car is more powerfull, wouldn't that cause you to get...more tickets?
Neither the 4 banger accord nor a civic is exactly fast out of the box, I don't know where you live in the US but most Honda car owners in the Northeast (where I live) get hosed on insurance because they get stolen, A LOT. IMO, honda's aren't always the best used car values because they hold their value so well, it isn't always that much more to buy a new one.
If you are considering late-model used how about an zx2? Good reliability, depreciate like a tank and are fairly well rounded. They made an S/R model that had some nice bolt-ons from the factory.
Are you planning on financing the car or paying cash?

Honkey,
Here in Cali all we get are the 2.3L engines as they are standard equipment in all Foci due to the engine being SULEV. Benn that since 2003

I have no fcuking idea how you're going to afford any sort of '99+ Honda, Civic or Accord, as the resale value on all Hondas are incredible. Especially since you say you're 19 and have a love affair with fairly large chrome wheels that would look at home on a CAT dump truck.
I just took home a 1998 Ford ZX2 last month for $4898 from the dealer, cash. My insurance went DOWN, incredible since my previous 1-month vehicle (to replace the long time Kia Sedona I was piloting) was a 1987 Toyota Corolla FX16 hatch that had 220,000 miles that cost me $100. Furthermore the ZX2 is bright red, not exactly the favorite color of insurance companies.
Consider what most people on here have said. If you don't want to follow 99% of the entire youth population of the world, stay away from Honda. There's no way you'll get anybody's positive attention piloting an Accord on 19s. A Toyota Corolla will last you forever (mine had just sprouted it's first oil leak in 18 years right before I sold it) but they're not particularly fun and I wouldn't use any Toyota product to impress the girl next door (unless of course you can find a '97 Supra that hasn't met the crusher).
My vote goes with most people on here. You'll be right at home sitting in the driver seat of a Focus ZX-3 or -5, or even the ZX2. Not to mention, right off the lot, you'll be using your mirrors to see all the Civics and Corollas you've left behind. I settled for the ZX2 because there were no ZX3s in the same price range that hadn't had serious problems, and a CSVT would've raised my insurance.
Even if you don't take any of the advice here, stay away from Chevrolet Cavaliers. The only thing worse than a Cavalier is a Cavalier on 19s.

That's an old wive's tale. Color of your car has no bearing on your insurance cost. Why would it?
Don't feel bad, according to a recent survey, one-third of adults thought that color had a bearing on insurance rates when it, in fact, does not.
If it did, red would be better, as it's been proven time and time again that Red and White are the 2 safest colored cars to drive.
