Our cars are so computer controlled that a low temp thermostat would probably create problems and have absolutely no performance gains. It would constantly change the air/fuel mixture trying to change for the colder temperature. Try some Redline Watter Wetter or 40 Below if you want to make it run a little cooler safely. These are both additives for your coolant that let it dissapate heat better.
