People who are racing them for sport are bringing them back into the public eye. They're actually kind of pissed about it, but it's a lose lose situation. They view their sport as "sacred" (for a lack of better word). They pay $1,500 for an amazing Italian name brand bike with performance parts, and now someone can go to Pep Boys and get a knock off for $500ish. Either way...the one I have is awesome. And my boss ordered one that came in yesterday and the design and parts were all upgraded. I'm a little pissed I didn't wait and get the ones they're selling now, so I'm actually considering buying another one. Now they're all solid colors as far as I know as well.
