Got a spec stage 2, quaife, and lightened svt flywheel installed around this time last year.
Clutch - very smooth, but bites really good. Still fine after about 20k miles
Quaife - definitley better handling while driving agressively. Worth it for the performance, but driveability is pretty much the same. Definitley helps in the snow though.
Flywheel - Again, nothing much different from stock, but 1st gear goes by way fast now. Also, don't have to downshift as much on the highway, when passing and stuff.
All the mods were worth the money. Especially because they didn't make the car any harder to drive...but you still get the performance.

Quaife, lightened SVT Flywheel, SPEC stage II clutch, removed resonator, k&n drop in - various other goodies too.

Heh, just imagine what that would've been like with a Fidanza, which is about 75% less weight than that lighter SVT flywheel I pass cars in 4th and 5th gear regularly now. It even made a difference in my top end, I bury the speedo with ease now

I want to get a lighter fly wheel, but what I read, dident sound good. It sounded like there would be a big loss of drivability. Is this true? My plan is to get a Terry Haines with a Qualife. I think I want to stay with the SVT clutch, it seem good, and I dont want chater. What do you think I should go with flywheel wise? Thanks.

Nope. I mean, well, it IS easier to stall the car, yes, but it's really not a big deal. After upgrading to the fidanza, I've maybe stalled my car ONCE because of it. So I can't really say there's a drivability problem there. All other changes that are a result of it are good changes, mainly how fast the car rips through 1st and 2nd gear now, how much faster the revs climb, and the awesome throttle response.
I don't see how you can loose with the fidanza. Although some have had problems getting clutches to mate with them well. I didn't really have a problem with it, but I had the steal insert of the fidanza machined so it would help the break-in process. Seems to have worked well as I don't have any problems besides a little bit of chatter at idle, but thats because of my clutch design, not a flywheel problem.

I think he was referring to being concerned (as well as I am) with the increased vibration that would be felt throughout the block, going in a completely different direction than a DMD. Since the harmonics of this engine seem to be a very big topic of conversation, I would assume increased vibration would be the opposite of what I would want to do..

Quaife, a lightened flywheel, and a full rebuild with all new/upgraded parts. Its a thing of beauty!
Being a Zetec, I didn't need a heavy duty clutch, stock works just fine.
