Well, those who pick up guns aren't really hiding, the US military isn't just shooting anyone in site, the shoot the people who fight back, which if they are fighting us they are our enemy. The pentagon has intellegence that they use in order to find people who are terrorists. Those who stay in hiding, and lay low, and those who weren't known about, probably will never be found. Its that simple. But if you destroy most of an army, then the rest usually disbands, or joins again, but takes years to work a decent plan up again. which buys america time to find them.
