You seem to forget who is the largest, highest technology, smartest, and most powerful military in the world.
I accept your point but the conflict now in Iraq now seems to be all guerilla warfare. Technology can aid you a lot but its still a [censored], dirty type of warfare.
Ask the Brits, they have 30yrs experience of it in Belfast ....
Right on. The NI conflict is not gonna end no matter how well-armed/organized the Royal forces are. The mutual hatred between them Oranges and the Catholics dates wayyyy back. The hatred of Muslims towards Christian world dates back even longer, and it just adds to their determination. Somebody wanna fight a guerilla war - they might as well forget about it. Just bring one example of successful outcome of a war like this. Non exist. Philipines with General Pershing or 'Nam, Afghan during the late 1970's and most of the 1980's, Isr/Pal conflict, etc. etc. Technology doesn't work well in guerilla war.
