Sorry for the late posting. I had the exact same problem last year. I did everything Big Jim suggested but still had the problem. Then I noticed one of the posts of my battery had a small crack that was causing a buildup. I replaced it since it was a three year old original battery. The problem was fixed. Last week the problem started showing up again. I checked the battery and found two cells low on water. The cells weren't exposed, just low. (I'm not used to checking the levels, I'm used to maintenance free sealed batteries. Next time I won't cheap out.)

I haven't seen anyone else discuss this. My experience leads me to suspect my ecu is very sensitive to voltage levels.
