I have been trying to get good looking mesh unlike the gutter guard available around here. I've checked with Stazi and Elky and no good. I've look local and the internet. I've search this site but didn't find anything conclusive and current. Anybody know a good source of great looking mesh? My front grill has been soaking in acid for weeks and ought to be ready soon. I have to different types of gutter guard on standby but hope to find better. The autozone type stuff is just expensive gutterguard. Thanks.

Sorry to say but unless you spend more than $100 at some mesh place you probably won't find one as goo as gutter guard. It works better than the standard guard and looks just as nice if kept up properly. Steve

I have used gutter guard on the few grilles I have done, but when doing a bigger project like my wifes grille, I used Stucco reinforcement mesh. It comes in big sheets of 3x6 or something like that and only cost like 3 bucks. It's seems pretty weak as a whole sheet, but once cut down to size it about the same as gutter guard. It has a little bit different look than gutter guard too.

Gutter guard is your friend. Put a good amount of clearcoat on it and you're set. I've seen that stucco stuff too, i shall use it if i ever attempt to do the bottom grille, cheap as hell.

Looks good to me and only cost $3. I love Home Depot.

It is a little more expensive, but FoliaTec makes a different grill to use. I THINK I am the only one using this stuff and it is a hard, easy-to-cut aluminum.
Big Pic (56k beware!)
Check my profile for more. Now I just got to get around doing the bottom grill.
