This is an entirely different issue, and trust me, it has little to do with paying taxes...

First off, in Puerto Rico, the average Welfare recipient receives $35. Any idea what it is in the US? Significantly more, at $535.

If they were to become a state it would completely DESTROY their economy. They would be required to follow federal laws such as Minimum Wage. Do you have any idea what effect that would have on Puerto Rico.

We should probably stay on subject with this one, and save Puerto Rico for an entirely seperate thread.
