I'll definitely grant you that. In that Word doc there is a whole section that says "blah blah importing a car is really expensive so investigate thoroughly before you do it." I'm curious to know myself, but I know no one around here would be willing to spend the money to find out.

hetfield, I made the call to a company that does the mods and upgrades to comply with US standards and they said the price would vary based make, year, model, mostly engine. I have them checking on the cost of doing the 2004 mondeo from mexico. by the way the current list price for the mondeo is $210,000 peso or $21,000 dollars. thats is for the V6 mtx standard options, but because of a communication problem between me and the mexican salesman i'm not sure what those are.

I keep seeing some diesel Mondeo's in Germany too...that would be nice
