but if u must have a dollar figure...maybe for like $400-$500 bucks

I've seen u guys pick out $40 component systems and $90 subs so I figured it'd be pretty easy.

Same Wiring kit from knu

I'm liking the choices so far here...

right now I'm mainly lookin for a nice HU but later on I might move my Kicker 5x7s to the back & have a nice component set up front.

OK, 4-500 helps out tremendously. I could have been working on a competition caliber system for 3k, which would have been extremely inexpensive for the results.

Anyway,

Blaupunkt San Jose (refurb) 99.00

2 Blaupunkt PA2150 Amplifiers. 2x150 to front speakers, 1 x 400 to a subwoofer. ~200.00

Tangband W8-740C 2 of these at 32.50 each, but there is a group buy on the SoundIllusions forums for 25.25 each. 75.00 shipped.

that leaves 125.00 for components up front....

I'll get back with you on that...

The missus went to the nearby Walmart (closer to her job) and came away with an inexpensive wiring harness ($7), but not identical to what I had from CC.

What I got from CC were 2 harnesses. The 1st change the Sony HU to a "universal" plug set, the 2nd changed "universal" plug set to Ford, ~$18/ea

The one from Walmart seemed to be Ford-specific.
Do you know if they have Ford - generic - Sony harnesses?
According to my wife, the person she got was pretty much admitting cluelessness. It's a haul to get to from my job or my house, so any confirmation of the plugs would help.

thanks for the help!
Phil

Are you serious? The wiring harness can be bought at wal-mart for about $5!
