The fact is most of us started out with low-end systems that we thought sounded awesome  I for one can say that I started with 2-10" JENSEN subs and a 150w optimus amp
Damn, that almost exactly what I had as my first system. A Jensen 10" bass tube ($50 at Wal Mart), and a 150 watt Optimus amp. The amp was decent, it made sound, but you could fry an egg on it no matter how much air was flowing over it.
