you told us once already, but one more time will make your point stronger i think

audiobahn are nothing special and exceptionally overpriced. but they sure look nice.

your not go to say everyone who likes them are newbies and or want to boast about their stuff and should listen to to some high quality, low distortion subs like Lambda, Stryke, ID, ED, Adire, etc... for a better point of reference.

They are average subs at best and they cost too much money. You should try to listen to a low distortion sub like a W6v2, W7, Lambda, Adire, RE, Aura NRT, etc.

I think that the audiobahn products look good... expecially if you tossed them in an old chromed out hot rod.

I prefer my subs and amplifiers to perform over looking good. Maybe you just need a reference point. Try listening to a sub from Lambda, like the PB15, or something from Adire Audio, the W7s, Aura NRT, etc...

JL's are over priced to and i wasn't impressed by the Barhma(sp). The barhma i don't think was in a box built correctly. I do trust Daves opinions.

On a side not I sold my whole setup to a guy from class. My Soundstream Exact 12's, Soundstream Reference 500s, Premier Class A 4 channel, and the Soundstream SVX4, for 1400 installed...

Have enough people told you yet to get it to sink in?

No need to get all hurt that you like Audiobahn stuff. If you want to buy great-looking, average-sounding equipment, that's your perogative.

Audiobahn is an excellent product for those wanting average performance and good looks at a premium price. I would highly recommend it to someone with those goals.

JL Audio is expensive, but just about every dollar spent on their subs goes towards performance. The w7 has the best basket in the industry and i guarentee it wasn't cheap. Regarding the brahma, i have heard a lot of people who didn't like the sound of it, or other ultra low distortion subs. "sounds mechanical" or "it's quiet" (while putting up 145 dB) are comments I have heard. If your reference is a higher distortion sub, it takes a while to get used to the accuracy of the W7, Lambda, Brahma, etc. (I left out ED because they don't use any distortion reducing technology, just a very standard TC motor.)
