Oh, please. Here we go again with another fake "I just got this letter from a friend in Baghdad and thought I'd share" threads.

How about I type a letter from Iraq for you so that you can read the real story?

I am on government computers out here so I will limit what I say. I am going to put my stamp of approval on what this Marine has written because although I agree with most but not every bit, I don't disagree with any of it.
We are tired of our own people hating us, making out like we are doing something wrong. It is a war and people are killed on both sides. Both innocents and enemy. If we did not try so hard to protect the innocents here then there would be fewer American dead I can promise you that! I just drove through some Baghdad neighborhoods this very morning not 3 hours ago on a patrol. Most of the people were happy to see us go through...some weren't. The little girls and boys on the street corners this morning, getting ready to go to school really touched my heart. You see they haven't done anything wrong and they deserve our help. I am not bullsh}tting you here, I had tears in my eyes because I haven't seen my little girl and boy since the beginning of March. I had a lump in my throat but at least I know I am doing some good here.
You on the other hand are only doing ill to your fellow man with your naysaying and confrontational anti-coalition sentiment. I know you have your rights to speak and so be it. That is what I am here for. However, I and my fellow soldiers also have the right to speak and we don't like being called liars.
