A couple of the replies touched on my upcoming point. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong BUT I see two main categories of BMW drivers. There are the true driving enthusiasts and then there are the status conscious. Neither of which is gonna have much interest in 1/4 miles or street-light racing. The first category is busy trying to get the car to a road course and the second category is too busy checking themselves out in the rear-view mirror.
