This a tad bit off contours... but, I am about to trade my 91' S-10 for a 1987 Audi CS quattro turbo, and I want to by a blow off valve kit for it, does anyone know a place that sells BOV kits for that car? If not has anyone ever done this:

Take off the inlet tube from the turbo to the throttle body, cut out say a 3" section and instal a 3" metal tube with the BOV flange already welded in, then use two hose clamps to hold in the new tube. Is that a bad idea?

I would really like to get a BOV kit that I know is supposed to work with this vehicle, please any recomendtions would be welcomed. Thanks

from what i know bovs are pretty much universal. id get a tial or the super sequential (expensive but sounds mean) but to answer your question yeah cut out a section weld the flange and then run vacuum lines to the bov and that should be it. and make sure you know what your wastegate diaphram opens at because if you have a bigger spring in your bov it wont open right and you could have the boost creep or spike or whatever the bov company tells you those noise makers(all they really do) prevent. ive heard lots of bs like they get rid of turbo lag and alot of other dumb stuff but all its really good for is preventing backpressure on the compressor wheel.

Just to let you know it is a bit@h to get the washers in the BOV right in an Audi. It took me and my buddy about 3 hrs to get his car to act right.

Basically on and off throttle. The car ran great but it just acted up .

Just a Plain SE. AKA Big Country I maybe path914's B**** now, but wait until he needs his clutch done. We will see WHO is WHO's B**** then!
