I was playing with the Contour today, Unhooked the Vacuum line to the EGR valve, nothing really happened, Unhooked the hose to whatever it goes to on the Fuel Rail on the Zetec, engine RPM sounded like it improved, I plugged it back in while engine was running, engine stalled out... could this be my problem?

I had that problem and it was my MAF. Try cleaning your MAF.

The correct car terms now! The vacuum line that goes to the Fuel Pressure Regulator on the Fuel Rail, when I disconnect that my idle is good. When I try to reconnect the Fuel Pressure Regulator, engine stalls. When I disconnect the EGR valve, no difference... When I drove the car around the block, i was getting at least 800 RPM in Drive and at a stop. which felt pretty good too, or is something else behind this?

Connected my car to our school's Snap-On Scanner tool, my car pulls no errors, shows no errors, and passed all the tests (idle adjust thing, computer timing, etc) Just my engine kept shutting down after the Scanner finished, dont know if that was part of the program, or if its my car...
