Then last night I was driving on the highway and all of a sudden I felt a thumping sound coming from the front end. I can feel it in the floor. It almost feels like a flat tire but its not because I can't feel it in the wheel itself. It doesn't do it all the time. It comes and goes. It also doesn't matter if I'm stepping on the gas, brakes, am in gear or not. What could this problem be? Any info would be a great help.

Well my first question would be have you removed the wheel to look at the parts. Remove the wheels, look for broken suspension parts first off, see if you can move them around, if they have play in them.

Secondly with the wheel back on the car and properly torqued, jack it up and see if the wheel has play in it.

Hope that helps.
