I haven't heard anything like that, but I know the 'brand' is repositioning itself to offer higher performance (pretty much it in a nutshell).
As far as the Mondeo I doubt we will ever see that car in its current form, because Ford will offer a vehicle stateside on the Mazda 6 platform, which the Mondeo will be switching to in the near future. From what I hear there will be a high performance version of said car shortly after it debuts.
